Description

TREE FORT Handmade throw quilt 62 by 66 inches.

This modern, minimal quilt was designed, cut, pieced, quilted and bound by me.  The simple large block design puts a modern twist on the traditional log cabin block. Composed of fabrics in stripes and waves, the quilt offers eclectic color and simple, graphic design.  The heart of the log cabin is a charming print with birdhouses perched on the branches of a tree. This block is framed by striped and wavy fabrics in white, blue, aqua, turquoise, gold, red, purple, pink, gold, and black.  The minimal design and eclectic colors will make a sophisticated addition to your contemporary home – living room, bedroom, patio or reading nook.

The reverse side is a large block abstract grid using the striped fabrics from the front.  I stitched parallel lines across the width of the quilt, giving it an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth.  The binding in navy and white was machine stitched to guarantee a lifetime of durability. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
