PINE LAKE King or queen size quilt 101 by 100 inches

This original design bed quilt has mid-century appeal and a lush alpine palette in green and blue.  I selected cotton solids in many shades of blue and green to recreate this fresh and invigorating palette of an alpine lake.  Various width strips are arranged in an asymmetrical linear composition interspersed with pieced inserts of color squares. This linear design is a favorite of mine – I like the way it feels structured and random at the same time.  At 100 by 101 inches, this quilt will fit a queen size or king size bed. For reference, the bed in the listing photos is king size.

The reverse side has improv pieced bars and large color blocks of the same fabrics used on the front.  Using silver thread, I stitched wavy lines across the width of the quilt, giving it an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The binding was attached securely with machine stitching.  All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
