JADE GEOMETRY Modern throw quilt 56 by 56 inches

This handmade modern throw quilt has abstract, graphic appeal with its distinctive diagonal design. I used solids and prints in shades of green to create triangle log cabins and then fit them together to create the focal point of this quilt. This diagonal strip is surrounded by solid cotton in Balsam with two additional triangles in opposite corners.  This modern quilt will add vibrant color and quirky, abstract design to your home.  The compact size makes it a good fit as a travel blanket in your car or RV.

I used variegated thread to stitch a diamond pattern across the quilt, giving it an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting provides lightweight warmth.  The reverse side of the quilt has a strip of improv pieced triangles bordered by a triangle print in sand and white. The binding in green plaid was attached with machine stitching for durability. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
