ARMADILLO ROAD Modern throw quilt 84 by 81 inches

This modern full-size quilt has a mid-century, linear design in many shades of blue, red, brown and tan. Various width strips are arranged in an asymmetrical linear composition interspersed with pieced inserts of color squares. This linear design is a favorite of mine – I like the way it feels structured and random at the same time.   The name Armadillo Road was inspired by the southwestern feel of the palette and fabrics. I selected cotton solids, ombres, and prints in blue and red plus aqua, turquoise, coffee, cinnamon, parchment, and sand to create this adventurous palette. The mix of traditional fabrics and modern prints will make this quilt right at home in your western, modern, or bohemian home.  Perfectly sized for a full-size bed or as an oversized throw in your living room.

The reverse side features color improv blocks made with the same fabrics as the front surrounded by a navy solid.  I stitched parallel lines along the length, giving the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The binding, in navy, is securely attached with machine stitching. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
