This handmade lap quilt features a bold, dramatic design with vibrant rainbow colors that pulse across a black background. Long, slender diamond shapes rise and fall in a rhythmic wave, creating movement and energy.

The pattern, “Sound Waves” by Tammy Silvers of Tamarinis Quilts, is brought to life with rainbow ombré fabrics that shift beautifully from pale to saturated tones. When placed side by side, these ombrés create eye-catching optical effects—almost as if the colors are glowing against the solid black.

Quilted with variegated thread in closely spaced vertical lines, the stitching adds rich texture, soft drape, and a slightly crinkled, cozy appearance. The backing features a modern geometric floral print accented with a strip of color blocks in pinks and yellow.

Made with premium 100% cotton fabrics and unbleached cotton batting for lightweight warmth. The binding is machine-stitched in black for a clean, durable finish.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
