LINESCAPE Modern Throw Quilt 58 by 76 inches

This modern throw quilt has a modern, linear design in a muted, scrappy palette.  I selected cotton striped prints in a limited palette to include mostly navy, white, red, and neutrals. There are also small bits of yellow, green, pink, and black.  Various width strips were pieced together to create larger blocks that are mostly light or mostly dark.  Different sized squares and rectangles of light and dark value are then fitted together like a puzzle to create the graphic value contrasts within the design.  This long throw is perfectly sized for your living room, den, patio, or reading nook and will bring modern design with a subtle palette to any room in your modern or traditional home.

The reverse side has an asymmetrical medallion construction using leftover piecing from the front and more striped yardage. I stitched wavy lines and circles along the width of the quilt, giving the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush textured feel.  Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth.  The binding was attached securely with two rounds of machine stitching.  All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
