WOVEN RAINBOW Modern throw quilt 75 by 76 inches

This quilt is made using an ombre fabric collection called “Sky” by designer Jennifer Sampou.  The ombre fabrics are aligned in tapered wedges to create a flow of color and light across the quilt.  Blue features prominently in the gorgeous jewel toned palette which also includes orange, purple, green, yellow, and pink.  The geometric design gives this quilt contemporary style with a distinct mid-century feel.   This modern throw is perfectly sized for your living room, den, patio, or reading nook and will bring a mid-century vibe and energizing color to any room in your modern home.

The reverse side features a colorful improv-pieced block of wedges surrounded by free-form large block framing in blue and gray.  Using a variegated thread, I stitched parallel lines across the length, giving the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The binding, in a blue ombre, is securely attached with machine stitching. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
