WELCOME Twin size/long throw quilt 59 by 87 inches

This is door quilt number 7! I construct each door using solid and print fabrics from my stash and a design method I think of as “controlled improv.”  The result is a collection of colorful doors with unique window and panel shapes that give this quilt charm and whimsy. For this one, I used a white cotton for the background.  The colorful doors really pop against the crisp white background. This quilt is perfectly sized for a twin size bed or use it as an extra long throw blanket in your living room, guest room or reading nook. This original quilt will bring a splash of color and whimsy to your home.  I think it would make an ideal housewarming or wedding gift too!

I stitched parallel lines along the length of the quilt, giving it an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth.  The ombre binding was attached securely with two rounds of machine stitching for durability.  The reverse side is an ombre fabric that runs from blue to lavender to pale pink.  All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
