WATERMARK Modern Throw Quilt 59 by 59 Inches

This charming little throw quilt is made with contemporary designer fabrics* in gorgeous patterns and a subtle, modern palette. The fabrics have a gorgeous “weathered” patina with patterns of curved lines, circles, ovals and paint drips.  The main colors are blue, white, green, apricot, citron and pink. Large scale triangle squares create the abstract geometry of this design.  A nice compact size, this quilt makes a snuggly lap quilt, baby quilt or travel blanket for your car or RV.

The reverse side uses prints from the front framed by a blue ombre and a light citron solid. I used free motion quilting and silver thread to stitch mostly straight lines with some echoed angle lines to give another layer of design detail.  This stitching gives the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting provides lightweight warmth. The binding in a gray and white print was attached with two rounds of machine stitching for durability. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
