STICK TOGETHER Modern art wall quilt 23 by 28 inches

This modern art wall quilt has a mid-century, minimal, geometric design. A background fabric of textured titanium gray is divided into an asymmetrical grid with bold black lines. Colored squares in green, yellow, red, aqua, pink, blue, orange, and purple are gathered at the intersections of the black grid lines.

I used variegated thread to stitch chain squares and echo lines over the surface of the mini wall quilt. This dense, free-motion quilting adds another layer of design and textural interest to this modern textile wall hanging.

The back of the mini quilt has rod pockets sewn in all four corners, so you can hang on the wall in four different orientations. You will need a wooden dowel (round or flat slat) cut to the appropriate length. Simply tuck the ends of the dowel into the top corner pockets and hang on the wall by setting the dowel on small nails or pushpins.
