This modern quilt has loads of retro appeal – from the modern fabrics to the mid-century pod shapes. I used contemporary designer fabrics in gorgeous patterns with a fresh, modern palette. The fabric patterns include paint splatter, crackle lines, ovals, circles, and paint drips.  The main colors are pink, blue, rust, gray and cranberry. The retro curved design and modern palette will bring bright, contemporary style to your home.  The long length makes this a good choice for a twin bed topper – or use it as an extra-long throw in your living room, patio or bedroom.

The reverse side has a bar of pieced curves in the same colors as the front, surrounded by color block patches in shades of blue. I stitched parallel lines along the length giving the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting provides lightweight warmth. The binding in blue was attached with two rounds of machine stitching for durability. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
