MODULAR Modern throw quilt 59 by 73 inches

This modern, abstract quilt started with a set of monochrome blocks, sewn together with an improvisational free-form approach.  The improv blocks include solids and prints in black, white, gray, navy, ecru, and small pops of pink and blue.  Strips of bright green form frames and connectors in a modular grid against a black background.  The graphic design and use of negative space give this quilt distinctly modern appeal. This throw quilt will be right at home in your modern, bohemian, or traditional home.  Perfectly sized for living room, bedroom, reading nook or patio.

I used variegated thread to stitch squares, curves, echo lines, and circuits across the surface of the quilt. This stitching gives the quilt another layer of modern design, a lush texture, crinkled appearance, and easy drape.  Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt lightweight warmth. The reverse side is made with more improv blocks and strips in monochrome gray, black and white.  The binding in green was attached securely with machine stitching for durability. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.

Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
