METRO LINE 10 Modern art wall quilt 24.5 by 25 inches

This modern art wall quilt has a mid-century, abstract design in a contemporary palette. An asymmetrical grid of orange, green and blue is intersected by skinny strips of black and white striped fabric. I used a variety of fabrics in different colors and patterns to create clusters of shapes at the intersections of the grid.

The dense, free-motion quilting adds another layer of design and textural interest to this modern textile wall hanging. I used variegated thread to stitch squares, circles, lines, and circuits across the surface of the quilt.

The back of the mini quilt has rod pockets sewn in all four corners, so you can hang on the wall in four different orientations. You will need a wooden dowel (round or flat slat) cut to the appropriate length. Simply tuck the ends of the dowel into the top corner pockets and hang on the wall by setting the dowel on small nails or pushpins. Mini quilt art measures 24.5 by 25 inches. Fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.
