COMPASS Throw quilt 68 by 69 inches
This modern quilt has a simple geometric design and colorful appeal. I used a bunch of eclectic prints and batiks from my stash and paired them with Kona cotton in Storm to create half-square triangle blocks. The blocks are arranged in diagonal stripes to create a color wash from corner to corner. Colors include yellow, red, orange, white, gray, blue, brown and green and prints with butterflies, beetles, luggage, surfboards and geometric elements. The variety of prints and the bold color make this quilt a perfect addition to your modern, bohemian or traditional home – living room, bedroom, patio or reading nook.
The reverse side has a background of dark blue and charcoal with six bars and arrows pointing from side to side. Using blue thread, I stitched parallel lines across the quilt, giving the quilt an easy drape, crinkled appearance, and a lush, textured feel. Unbleached cotton batting gives the quilt cozy warmth and weight. The black and white striped binding in was attached securely with two rounds of machine stitching to guarantee a lifetime of durability. All fabrics and batting are premium 100% cotton.
Care: Machine wash in cold water. Tumble dry, low heat; or air dry flat if you prefer. The quilt has been machine washed and dried after construction, to shrink it to its final dimensions.
